Its Saturday night, and the idea of going to the local bar for the countless time sounds about as exciting as a root canal. Where do you go?
So maybe you are looking for something a little different. Granted, you would like to take your tie off, have a drink or two, and maybe try out your newly discovered dance moves in front of an audience. Where do you go? You are tired of the metal detectors, under age club goers, long lines, and sticky floors. You don’t like worrying about getting into a fight or having your wallet stolen. You want to mingle with a mature group who you can carry a conversation with. You want a change. You want Prov.
Not looking for a night club? How about a unique lounge? Hidden off of Thayer street, next to Paragon, is a special kind of place. The Liquid Lounge. Here you can relax to house music from a local DJ with two turntables. No crazy lighting, No dance floor, and not so loud that you cant hold a conversation with your entourage. Pick a comfy chair, select an inexpensively priced drink from a pleasant bartender, and just relax in the soothing and laid back atmosphere. There is a pool table in back, nightly drink specials, plenty of Brown and RISD students, oh, and Chalkboards in the Bathroom.
